Pack 163 Campfire Rules

  • There will be a “Fire Ring” established at all campfires

  • Den Chiefs (Boy Scouts) and Den Leaders will be responsible for building and maintaining the fire

  • No Cub Scout will be permitted “inside” the Fire Ring. (This includes “standing” on the Fire Ring.)

  • Cub Scouts will not be permitted to throw anything into the fire. i.e.: sticks, leaves, marshmallows, trash,

  • There will be no stick roasting (No putting sticks in fire, then pulling it out.  “Once a stick is in the fire, it stays in the fire”)

  • When a Cub Scout (or sibling) is roasting a marshmallow or a hotdog on the fire:

    • The stick must be long enough to enable the boy to be “outside” of the fire ring at all times

    • A parent MUST be standing behind the scout at ALL times

  • There will be NO running in the vicinity of the campfire

A campfire for Cub Scouts is a privilege.   The leaders of Pack 163 wish to be able to keep the scouts safe and your cooperation is necessary.
